....photos show the car before restoration (when it arrived), during restoration, and now finished. A gorgeous, rust and rot free car, very thoroughly disassembled, rebuilt, restored, repainted, reupholstered, rechromed............WHAT A GREAT CAR for summer/fall cruising!!
We have added chrome wire wheels and a lot of small detail improvements to finish off a fantastic car.
Car arrived in our shop with only 51,000 original miles...with original paint (as seen in photos), NO BONDO, NO RUST, NO REPAIRS, NO DAMAGE. A remarkable find. And in excellent mechanical condition: 150 psi compression in every cylinder, no smoke, 70 psi oil pressure, excellent gearbox and all working original instruments.
Its primary negatives were esthetics...just finished being done (as can be seen in the photos).
THIS CAR RUNS AND DRIVES LIKE NEW. And is a perfect blend of 'orignal' and 'restored.' A wonderful classic sports car.
AND WHAT A CAR a nice TF is. One of the most beautiful 1950s sports cars, long, curving fenders, lovely detail work. A willing little engine, precise shifting and steering, great ride, what else could you ever want for the proverbial nice summer day cruise? With its cut down door, folding windshield, and wonderful 'feel,' it is hard to imagine ANY sports car being better for that use.
And this car is a really good one.
