....last owner since 1973, 36,000 original miles. Restored and rebuilt in 2000. Engine done to a very high spec with new crankshaft, connecting rods, pistons, camshaft, etc. Rebuilt SU carbs, alloy rocker and tappet plate. Runs like new.
EXCELLENT transmission...frequently a weak point on TDs and TFs. This one shifts and sounds like new. Excellent synchromesh, no rattling, as close to perfect as I have ever encountered.
Body and paint are beautiful...painted a number of years ago, little used, always garaged. Actually is a deeper green than it appears in the photos.
Interior all new with leather seats, original underdash covering, perfectly detailed gauges, switches, and dash center. New stayfast cloth top, side curtains and tonneau,
New wire wheels. Rebuilt brakes and suspension.
New wiring harness. Mostly new electrics. And everything works...turn signals, lights, horn, all gauges, etc.
Chrome...like new.
AND..........original owner's manual, crank, tool roll (very impressive with what appears to be every factory supplied tool), grease gun, jack, and a nice 'correct' Thor knock off hammer. All PERFECT things to display at a concours.
Beautifully detailed engine bay, original air cleaners, spotless underneath, all new rubber seals and gaskets, new carpets, new this, that, and most everything else.
Drives like new. 'Tight' in every way. Very well controlled ride, super precise steering, ample straight line performance, 'sweet' transmission. As nice a running and driving AND looking TF 1500 as we have ever had.
The absolute creme de la creme of T Series MGs. And one of only 3,400 built.
