Unquestionably one of the finest MGAs we have ever had for sale.

ONE OF THE VERY BEST

Why? A beautifully restored, very clean original (as a starting point) RUST FREE Texas car....rebuilt 1800cc MGB engine, MGA trans (about the same as the original A but much stronger), Weber carb (we can install rebuilt SUs if a buyer prefers). The five main bearing B engine was bored .030" over, balanced and blueprinted, high lift cam, electronic ignition...probably every bit of 110hp. The same as the much prized MGA Twin cam. Yet with a FAR higher degree of reliability.

Original MGA 4.3. diff replaced with a higher 4.1 diff for easier crusing at lower revs. A nice touch and having a similar effect to installing overdrive.

A long list of items included in the restoration with a thick folder of receipts...new tan leather seats, all new interior, recovered dash, new wiring harness, new clutch, all new bumpers and guards, new brake and clutch master cylinders, new carpets, oil cooler with Aeroquip lines, new fuse block, new grille, new SU fuel pump, new seat frames/bases/inner cushions, new wheel cylinders, new windshield, new stayfast cloth (tan) top, tonneau, and side curtains (a small fortune in just the weather equipment), new battery mounted in the trunk (we can move this back to the original battery box holders which are in perfect condition), new driveshaft universals, AND on and on and on.

A comprehensively rebuilt and restored A, rust free, more powerful engine, stronger transmission, wire wheels, expensive weather equipment........one of the VERY BEST As we have ever had.

Alas, yes, missing the heater. But, no worry. We have plenty of them in stock and they bolt in quickly and easily.

IF one wants one.

You might find a better MGA somewhere. But not THAT much better and probably not for a better price then our's.

(......and if you think the 'wrong' engine has a negative effect on collector's value, be aware that the two engines...the original 68hp A and the 110hp B...are visually nearly identical. And only an expert could tell 'em apart. But with 50% more power...smoother, more flexible, more reliable, and MUCH quicker)
