A nice clean car from the mountains of Colorado...excellent body (no, exceptional...went over it with a magnet and couldn't find ANY sign of bondo.), paint is very nice, interior mostly new (and in leather), good top and tonneau, runs and drives very well......
Strong performance, no smoke, 70 psi psi oil pressure, excellent original wiring harness, very good chrome throughout, crawled underneath...rust? Well, if given a wire brush and a few cans of black spray paint, could make the underside of this car....fantastic. AND INSIDE the spare tire well...not a spec of rust. Truly one of the best preserved TRs we have ever seen. Almost...incredible.
Steering, often a weakness of TR3s, is very good...precise, light, and with very good 'feel.' Brakes (disc) work well, exhaust has a nice, appropriate sound, all gauges and electrics work, tires are older but in good condition, and even has the back seat option.
All in all, a wonderful TR. Ready for a low key show (hence...'showable') but far from a serious show car. Actually, a lovely 'driver' that is nice and clean, rust and bondo free, has great original wiring, even a new radiator. And runs and drives as good as the best show cars.
