One of our nicest MGAs....the 1600 has the bigger 1.6 liter engine and disc brakes. With this example having the optional wire wheels.
We were told it was painted ten years ago...no bubbles or cracks anywhere. Went over the edges of the body with my kitchen magnet...lower front and rear quarters, doglegs, rockers...no sign of bondo. And 'underneath' it looks nice and solid...excellent frame, battery boxes, new floors, very very good. AND when wet sanded and buffed, paint came up to a true show quality finish. Really gorgeous in black and we have posted photos showing the depth of the finish and the straight bodywork that reflects like a mirror.
Engine; 65 psi oil pressure when warm, no smoke, 145-150 psi compression in every cylinder...all indicate (as far as we can tell without complete disassembly) 'as good' as new. Trans and rear end are quiet and work properly.
New wiring harness (certainly one of the most important additions to ensure reliability), mostly new electricals, new generator and starter, new (not rebuilt) shocks, all new cables under the dash, interior looks to be very close to 'new,' same with top, master cylinder are new, brakes were just redone (calipers, rotors, master cylinder, rear brakes, handbrake cable), rebuilt front end, chrome all looks new or very close to new (even the windshield surround sparkles), new windshield, carpeted trunk, oil cooler, new exhaust system (with the stickers still on it), all gauges are excellent and work properly (and some are new). We even just installed a new stayfast cloth tonneau cover.
A lovely MGA ready for road, show, and even daily use.
