...some small areas of body rust down along the edges but surprisingly good under the chassis, floors, inside the wheel wells, trunk, and engine bay. Runs and drives well, relatively new radials, top (in need of plastic windows) and side curtains, wire wheels, disc brakes, new grille, reasonably good chrome, faded original gray paint.
If it sells, fine. Someone will get a nice car in need of small amounts of body welding, bodywork, and paint. And interior work. And if does not sell...it will get small amounts of bodywelding, body work, paint, and a new interior. And when done, be a very nice TR3.
For more money, of course.

A note about these old Triumphs...for a hell of a lot less than a Morgan, a TR3 offers a lot of vintage fun for the money. The rather archiac steering can be improved with a modern rack and pinion conversion. And the TR engines combine plenty of power with both reliability, and inexpensive mechanical internals.
Nice old car. For not a lot of money. And perfect for the semi ambitious do it yourselfer 'cause we can be contracted to do some of the work with the new owner doing the finishing work.
Oh...we had some time and have done the following: acquired and installed a brand new radiator, did a compression check: 135 to 150 psi (142 /-5% which sounds pretty close to perfect), 70 psi oil pressure (again, perfect), no smoke, quiet exhaust, runs beautifully. In fact, there are four or five spots of rust BUT NO BONDO and no old repairs. Remember....most cars of this age have been repaired, restored, re-restored, and sometimes botched up. Covered with paint, thay can look pretty good. But when stripped....UGH. Not this car. What you see is what you get. And with a few days welding, we can offer a really good, bondo and rust free body in need of stripping off original paint.
PS...this project has been moving along...body is now COMPLETELY rust free, bodywork done, in primer...freshly rebuilt all synchro TR3B trans, engine is at the machine shop being rebuilt, we can offer this car in any color and with any interior.
