Stunning, gorgeous, breathtaking, beautiful, eye catching......I feel kind of dumb, as a dealer, writing 'this is one of the two or three best Morgans we have had in years and years.' Mainly because who will believe us?
This is what we are offering: an excellent chassis, as perfect a body as we have seen, all wood we could see (and we even took the doors apart) is perfect, perfect door fit helped with new chromed brass door hinges, almost all new chrome and rubber seals, gaskets, and trim. All new red leather interior, excellent detail work in the interior, in carpets, moldings, trim, wood dash, etc.
Engine has 85 psi oil pressue when warm, no smoke, pulls like a.....Morgan? Very quick. AND THE BEST single Moss gearbox I have used in 38 years of being in business. Awesome synchromesh action, silent operation, a true joy.
Has wire wheels, nearly new top, side curtains (with sliding windows), and tonneau, appeared to be powder coated exhaust manifold, polished and rebuilt SU carbs, all gauges work, working heater, new wiring harness (and is very tidy under and behind the dash), neat little interior light under the dash, and work just done: new stainless steel exhaust, rebuilt calipers with stainless steel pistons, new master cylinder, new rear wheel cylinders, new shoes, new ignition/light switch, front Koni shocks, and over 100 hours of shop labor.
Front end appears to be 'as new,' ride is fabulous (For a Morgan or ANY classic sports car), even has a new leather bonnet strap (of course). What is left? Show quality two stage acrylic paint, hand wet sanded and buffed, beautiful finish.
I tend to chuckle when I tell prospective buyers 'am the founder, owner, and by far, best customer.' And if I didn't currently have 'Morgan flat rad on the brain' (with two show qualilty early Morgans in my barn), NO way I would sell this. But, yes, it is for sale. And I have never driven a better Morgan in thirty eight years of selling, owning, and enjoying Morgans.
