100 mles since completion of extensive restoration....body stripped to bare metal, resprayed in original red, all new tan interior, engine not done (and with perfect compression and oil pressure, no smoke, nicely painted and detailed...why???), excellent trans, rebuilt front end (springs, bushings, etc.), completely rebuilt (0r new) brakes, all new shocks, new Falcon stainless steel exhaust system, new rear springs, new SU fuel pump, gas tank cleaned and painted, new master cylinder, rebuilt calipers, new brake lines, new handbrake cable, new wood floor boards, new bumpers, new grille, windshield frame rechromed.
As you can see, a LOT of work. And a lovely MGA.
But there is more....new wiring harness, mostly new electrics, new starter, new choke and starter cables, new switches on the dash (note: in photos, missing heater control panel...this is being replaced). Fuel tank cleaned and prepared, new fuel pump and lines, new top and stayfast cloth tonneau, good s/hand side curtains, and..........
What else is left?
Lovely inside and out. A ready-to-go MGA for road or show. Runs smoothly, quietly, rattle free, superb steering and handling, excellent brakes, lively performance, and incredibly comfortable ride. All reasons a good, restored MGA makes a perfect collector's sports car.
