1967 Morgan Plus 4 four seater (SOLD)

One of my personal favorites.....have owned four seater Morgans continuously since 1974. Why? A lot of reasons....first, sure, they seat four. Not jump seats like a Healey, 911, or other similar cars but four genuine seats. Sufficiently large to hold my 6'3" 240 pound son. What other sports car can do that?
AND...there is more....the front seats are comfortable, adjustable for rake and fore-aft, the seats are on proper springs (in 2 seaters, you sit on a cushion on top of plywood) and all of this is on the same chassis as a 2 seater, the same length, and maybe 75 more pounds.
This is a very nice late model (last year built) 1967 Plus 4. Excellent 2.2 liter TR4A engine (strong performance, 165-175 psi compression in every cylinder, no smoke, perfect oil pressure) coupled to an usually good 4 speed Moss gearbox. Compared to a T Series MG, this car is half Porsche turbo and half Ferrari. IT GOES!!!!!!!!!!!! Easily keep up with or ahead of most traffic, cruises at 70, 80, 90, or more mph.
Disc brakes have been rebuilt, rebuilt front end, very good wiring and electrics, quiet exhaust, new fuel tank, some new wood body framing, everything works. Wire wheels with a good set of radial tires, very good bodywork with quite nice BRG paint....not concours perhaps, a bit of touch up here and there, but sufficiently clean to not be an embassment at a 'local' show. Where such a rare car always draws a lot of interest.
Fitted with a good top, side curtains, tonneau, and boot cover. Chrome, trim, interior, wood dash, etc. are all in good to very good condition. All in all, IF you don't have the expectations of a perfectly restored show quality Morgan, this car is VERY NICE. Runs and drives very well, a super rare car.........how rare? With 300-450 cars a year built by Morgan during this era, typically around 10% were four seaters. THAT IS NOT a lot of cars built.
Versatile, a delight to drive, 105+ mph performance, a great car.
Every Summer, for years, we race at Tremblant in Quebec. And each time we go, we take our Mallock sports/racer on the top of our trailer, and our Morgan 4 seater on the bottom. And for the week's race and vacation, we leave our Suburban in the paddock and enjoy the wonderful scenery and winding back roads in the Morgan. Rain or shine. To us, it is the best part of the vacation.
With or without kids, hard to beat the usefulness of these fabulous sports cars.
