a very good looking MGB of the most desirable year and color combination, fairly new interior (in cloth, wonderful in hot weather), new paint in base coat/clear coat, mostly new chrome, mostly new rubber seals, a few signs of repair underneath but generally looking very solid with very good floors, runs and drives great. New tan top, wire wheels, nice car.
We found this car in Missouri and it looks like it led a happy life. Last owner did a very nice interior, dashboard is in virtual concourse condition, new repro of the original steering wheel, fitted with solid state ignition, back up fuel pump (fuel pump ceases to work? Hit a switch and drive home), oil cooler, converted to negative ground, even a carpeted trunk.
Fitted with a stronger, better all synchro trans, this car REALLY goes....65-70 psi oil pressure, no smoke, quick shifting, and the engine pulls very strongly.
The early Bs have the most powerful high compression engine, 98hp, disc brakes (Bs had 'em a year before Porsche!), fine handling and steering, comfy ride, and real classic style. Easy to maintain, great supply of new and used parts available, contemporary performance and.........NOT very much money. An incredible combination.
