A very thoroughly rebuilt and restored BGT......these are wonderful cars (and I have owned one for years) which the English used to refer to as 'the poor man's Aston Martin.' Probably due to the similarities in touring use, rear hatchback, and classic esthetics.

Okay, so a BGT is not capable of 150 mph but from my experience, they are quite comfortable (and economical) at a steady 80 mph. With a top speed of 105 mph+. MORE than enough for most anyone's use. AND quite reliable, easy to service, and parts are both readily available and generally inexpensive.

This car: restored body with new inner and out sills, new rockers, new factory floor pans, new front fenders and new rear quarters. Not a spot of rust in the trunk or anywhere else. Paint is a few years old old but still very nice (in a lovely deep Royal blue), excellent detailing under the hood in the engine compartment. Interior is very nice, seats, headliner, uncracked original dash, new carpets, panels, etc.

Has chrome wire wheels, original aluminum bonnet, (info supplied by last owner:) 4,000 miles on rebuilt engine, lead free hardened valve seats, new 40 over pistons, bearings, all new valves and guides, oil pump, cam, water pump, balanced, rebuilt SU carbs. Now with its original 4 speed transmission but we can also offer the car with\ a modern 5 speed trans kit. In stock. Curiously, having 'tried' this car at 90+ mph, it seems quite subdued and I wouldn't rush off and throw in a 5 speed so quickly....at a steady 80 mph, the engine was quiet and didn't feel as if it was straining at the revs. Go faster...and get a ticket? Go 150 mph and get a BIG ticket?

Brakes re-done, rebuilt calipers, new metal brake lines, new Aeroquip flex lines, new master cylinder, new rear wheel cylinders. All new shocks, completely rebuilt front end (new swivels, V8 bushings, everything sandblasted and painted). And new rear springs.

Recored radiator, new hoses, rebuilt alternator, new reduction gear starter, new fuel tank and pump, new Falcon stainless steel exhaust system, even new heater cables, wiper assemblies, and oil cooler lines. A very thoroughly rebuilt, restored, and well prepared GT. A LOT OF MONEY put into this car by its last two owners...and finished by us.

We just installed new three point seat belts, a new stereo/CD unit, new quality speakers, and a new antenna. Everything works, heater works very well, the car is a delight on the road, and I wouldn't have any qualms about driving this car anywhere.

I have been driving my '73 BGT all winter, even in zero degree weather...has never failed to start, doesn't take more than five minutes for the heater to make the interior warm and cozy, have seen 105 mph on a fairly short straight, has been very impressive.

And this Summer? Ah, with my freshly installed a/c system, should be as nice in 90 degree weather as it has been in coooooold winter weather.

These cars offer a delightful classic touring, all weather sports car that is calm, quiet, somewhat refined, and incredibly useful. Having just gone shopping and returned with bundles of paper towels and six bags of groceries, I never cease to be pleased with the versatility of the MGB GTs.

And this blue car is one of the best we have ever had for sale.

(uh, oh...a bit of an addition: car was puffing a bit of smoke and as much I would like to have considered dropping a can or two of STP down the oil filler, we disassembled the engine and found the oil rings has insufficient tension. Hastings were replaced with much better Deves rings, we are going to lightly rehone the bores, we DID confirm a fresh engine with brand new pistons, checked the head and did a far more thorough, much better valve job, and it is now going back together. Will literally have ZERO miles on the engine when it leaves here. And NO STP!!!!!!!!!!)

(PS and for all of this work, raised the price by a mere $500)
