All alloy body, 72 spoke wire wheels, beautiful green body with black fenders, dark green leather seats, refinished wood dash with toggle switches, rebuilt Ford 1600cc GT crossflow engine, Weber carb, powder coated tubular headers, all synchro trans, rebuilt disc brakes, full weather equipment, luggage rack, tonneau cover, rebuilt original heater, stereo/CD with iPod input, new halogen headlights, excellent chrome and trim, gorgeous car.

VERY light with the alloy body (factory listed weight is 1456 pound curb weight with a STEEL body).....the Ford engine is rated at 100hp giving this Morgan wonderful performance. And with lighter weight comes softer springs...FAR superior ride to any other Morgan. And much better handling.

If you think 'Morgan' means a hard riding, cranky steering, difficult to shift ancient sports car.....this car is a dream to drive. The quick shifting Ford trans (which we can replace with a modern Ford 5 speed trans), the smooth powerful short stroke Ford engine (same as used in modern Formula Ford race cars, and capable of FAR more power), Weber carb....the result is a sensational classic sports car. With the added benefit of having a lightweight, 'will never rust,' aluminum body.

Even for long time Morgan owners, a later model 4/4 such as this 1600 is an eye opening experience. Gone is the ol' Moss crashbox. Gone is the ancient TR engine. No SU carbs. All replaced with a short stroke, five man bearing engine, two barrel Weber carb, and as slick a 4 speed trans as exists. Add softer springs and lighter steering in a car of similar weight as a Lotus Elan. But still with the wonderful Morgan esthetics and 'feel.'

For the price of a good quality MG TF, this Morgan will run away and hide...MUCH lighter, MUCH more powerful, MUCH stronger, MUCH more reliable, and MUCH better driving. (actually I happen to love MGs but have four Moggies in my barn...so, sure, a Morgan enthusiast and owner for over 35 years).

Very rare in the US and one of the best all 'round Morgan models built during their 100 year history.

AND.........we have everything in stock to convert this car to a 5 speed transmission and additional power is readily available. 120hp? 130hp? 140hp? More? All available. We can even fit an in-stock Lotus twin cam engine.
