Incredibly rust free....not only confirmed with a visual inspection of the floors, inner sills, rockers, etc. BUT going over the entire exterior with a magnet. NO RUST! Amazing.
Runs and drives great...recent valve job, 160-170 psi compression in every cylinder, perfect oil pressure, no smoke, new Weber carb and intake manifold, new exaust system, brakes just gone through, front end just done with new lower control arms, new springs, new bushings, new Spax adjustable tube shocks.
Seats redone, new carpets and door seals, dash is in excellent condition, good top, spotlessly clean (and rust free) trunk, currently fitted with steel B wheels but these can be easily changed to Rostyle or alloy wheels. Can even be fitted with wire wheels.
Been converted from the ugly rubber bumper guards to new earlier style, wiring harness looks to be in very good condition, paint has a few small blemishes but is otherwise quite clean. Only mechanical issue...slow synchro action into 2nd gear. Worth changing? Depends on how good a shifter one is. no issue upshifting and with a quick double clutch downshifting is never a problem.
A wonderful B and certainly, with its rust free body and excellent engine, worth considering upgrading and improving...add a 5 speed Ford T9 gearbox, a set of Minilites, maybe install a higher lift cam and mill the head to raise the compression ratio, some more engine bay detailing, and have one wonderful MGB.
A nice car as it is, doesn't really need anything.
