Rebuilt and restored....new black paint, all new red interior, new burled wood dashboard, excellent drive train, overdrive transmission, clutch just replaced, Michelin redline radials, very good older top, luggage rack, excellent oil pressure, no smoke, runs and drives wonderfully.
What a beautiful car.....a rust free California car (then went to an ever dryer climate in Oklahoma), new black paint, very nice chrome and trim, spotless engine bay, same with trunk compartment, overdrive clicks in and out perfectly, front end feels tight, no clunks from the rear universals, and certainly dramatic esthetics in black with the red interior.
Ah, yes....'Big" Healeys are long gone and it would be presumptuous to suggest that a TR is a worthy replacement. But when behind the wheel, and feeling the rush of silky smooth power from the 2.5 liter TR engine, for a small portion of the price of a restored Healey, this TR6 (with overdrive!!!!) makes for a very reasonable substitute. And with the added refinement of independent rear suspension, all synchro trans, and roomy comfy interior, this car offers a lot of usable classic style for the money.
