Rust free body/floor/chassis, mostly new interior, no cracks on door tops or dash top, mechanically excellent (runs and drives very well), new stereo/CD with iPod input, new, new speakers, new carpets and seats, new interior panels, new tan premium quality convertible top, refinished original wheels with new 185/60 high speed radial tires, Weber carb, twin cooling fans, full tonneau cover.
What a surprise...no rust. No explanation but we poked around underneath and tapped on the rockers and were pleasantly rewarded with finding such a good example.
A rubber bumper MGB? Okay, lost a bit in the exterior looks department (in some people's opinion) but allows one to parallel park without worry of denting fragile chrome bumpers. And, ya know, one tends to grow into excepting those bumpers.
BUT...the best dash of any MGB, just fitted with a nice wood grained accessory dash covering, face level air vents, more ground clearance and more wheel travel room, better electrics, twin electric thermostatically controlled cooling fans, and with the Weber carb, ample power for normal touring use. In fact, it really goes.....at least as quick as an earlier B.
Just repainted in base coat/clear coat (an attractive, very deep dark chocolate brown), new solid state fuel pump fitted, some brake work just done, tested and finished. AND we can fit air conditioning making this B an excellent classic touring sports car for all year 'round use.
