Odometer shows 52,000 miles and I think there is an excellent chance its accurate. And this is why....
Excellent chassis, no indication of rust, damage or repairs. No idea if the engine has ever been out and apart BUT if not, kind of remarkable (for a 62 year old car). Exactly 150psi compression in every cylinder, 50-60 psi oil pressure when warm, no smoke cold or hot, gearbox is unusually quiet with excellent synchromesh action, body passed the magnet test searching for plastic filler (and found none), the original wiring harness has 90% of its original cotton covering perfectly intact, ALL suggesting this car really does have 52,000 original miles.
And the rest? Excellent bright red paint, new fender beading, mostly new chrome, interior appears to be new (and in camel), a tonneau with a new top to be fitted, has brand new side curtains, 15` wire wheels with correct sized 165R15 radials, brakes just redone (with all new flex lines and wheel cylinders, new brake shoes and we rebushed the front end and fitted new springs), windshield is not worn nor scratched, trunk floor is perfect, all original gauges work, exhaust is quiet, AND.........it starts instantly, runs flawlessly, no rattles, shocks seem quite good, AND (typical of an MGA) it is a beautiful classic sports car. And just about the ideal all around period car. Cruises easily at 60-70-80 mph, soft controlled ride, precise steering, sure brakes, and fun to own.
