Just in....undergoing some preparation work. Right hand drive. But a worthwhile project

17,000 original miles singe new, close to perfect body, floor, chassis, suspension pick ups, wherever we looked, all we saw was perfection. Something rarely found on ANY 55 year old car.

And........excellent (dare we write `perfect?`) original red paint, And chrome (indistinguishable from new). Can`t say the same about the interior, could be perfect original or perfect redone. Don`t know. But does it matter?

The rear deck and the rear headliner, beautifully done in polished wood decking. Like nothing I have ever seen on a Morris or most anything else. creatively and beautifully done. And the lists of pluses continues...

Excellent drive train, has multiple modern gauges on the driver`s side glove box door. and 60+ psi oil pressure for an 1100cc BMC engine is very close to perfect. No smoke on cold start up or at operating temperature.

Also two worthwhile upgrades, generator replaced with an alternator and single SU carb replaced with a two barrel downdraft Weber carb. Sort of `state of the art` for an older British car such as this one.

And the list continues.......wood steering wheel, very clean engine bay, excellent wiring and electrics, tires appear to be fairly new, good set of original hubcaps, and..........

Alas, all things on ANY car can`t be completely perfect. And for now, at least, the one major flaw is the rear wood framing. Some fine, some rotten, a few pieces even missing. And at this writing, haven`t yet decided what to do. A complete new wood set is $1,800 in England, complete in the USA over $3,000. And for now, having a complete set of wood plans for a Traveler, we may very well begin our own wood reconstruction. And for now, those are our choices.

It is a sensational car, with such low mileage and (with at least one rather important exception), a worthy project to finish. Either by us or by its next owner. (price reflects car without wood being replaced.
