A car we extensively rebuilt two years ago and has seen little use.
58,000 original miles on the odometer. Excellent rust free body and floor (anything you see underneath is just meaningless surface rust, easily removed with some sanding and black rust o leum) Work we did: completely rebuilt engine, standard bores and crank journals, new oil and water pumps, headers, new Weber 32/36 DGV carb, new clutch assembly AND, at the same time, replaced the radiator with a new aluminum radiator, new driveshaft universals, new hoses and belts, AND a lot of other work.........
New master cylinder, new front disc calipers, rear wheel cylinder, new pads and shoes, all new clutch hydraulics, completely rebuilt front end, new bushings and tie rod ends, rebuilt transmission and OVERDRIVE, new alternator, new engine and trans mounts, new 6 position fuse box with modern press in fuses, all of the chrome looks new (and IF you don't like those rubber bumper guards, we can easily change then to the older chrome guards). AND A LOT MORE.
All told it came to over $22,000. And as for the rest, new top, roll bar modern digital stereo, on and on. And expensive done car.
Curiously, as this came just came in, I noticed that the last two MGBs sold were in the exact same color. One being delivered in that cover, the other being repainted (including door jambs, engine bay, under hood and inside trunk) in a lovely deep BRG. And it is being done as that car, formerly owned by our lawyer's sister, was an excellent car and had overdrive.
So, of course, THIS car is available immediately and exactly as it is. HOWEVER, should one want an really excellent MGB, you can consider this: we can dye the dash, console and entire interior in a nice Camel color, installed a burl wood dash, maybe change to a wood steering wheel, convert to either wire wheels or install a nice set of Minilite alloy wheels, leave the original paint OR have us repaint the exterior (and interior panels) in any color you wish.
Look at it from this perspective, including new tops and carpets, the last owner spent nearly $24,000 into this car. Has rebuilt overdrive. Seats are perfect as is the rest of the interior....let us change the aesthetics and you can wind up with a beautiful high spec MGB. (price list is 'as is, now')
