A very exciting classic sports car with 'rocket' performance.

3.9 liter all aluminum, fuel injected V8 and 5 speed transmission. In a 2,000 pound classic MG. Makes for lively performance and, remarkably, the engine weighs little more than the original cast iron 62.5hp four cylinder MG engine. So, with triple the power and even more torque, puts this MG in a different category from most any other small sports car.

As a 1980 (last year these cars were exported to the USA), has a larger radiator and twin thermostatically controlled electric cooling fans, a much stronger back axle, improved electrics, and more reliable gauges. Brakes have been improved with new slotted, cross drilled disc rotors, high performance disc pads, front and rear sway bars, and all of the normal MGB virtues (quick, precise steering, excellent driving position, and well designed gauges and switches.

Body and floor/chassis are in excellent condition as is the Ferrari red paint, and is getting new chrome, new Mk I chrome grille, and we are even eliminating the side lights. Ride height is being lowered to the pre 1975 level (and front suspension fitted with polyurethane bushings) All in all, when done, the exterior aesthetics will be very similar to the earliest (and best looking) MGBs. And with improved suspension and brakes.
